Minnesota Fishing is hard to beat! The Minnesota DNR database suggests that Minnesota has 14,380 lakes if you count lakes that cross the U.S. – Canada border and do not count a few lakes that are mostly in other states or waterbodies under 10 acres. Milroy’s Guide Service is located in Grand Rapids which is in Itasca County, where there are many different bodies of water, from big lakes to small creeks & major rivers. You can catch crappie, catfish, sunfish, perch, bullhead & more any time of the year. Game fish, such as walleye, northern pike, and bass are more selective to the season. Over 1400 of Minnesota’s lakes are located within Itasca County, and I’m ready to show you the best fishing spots!

BASS
Bass are a great sportfish! The scrappy largemouth bass, with its jolting strikes and wild airborne leaps, is an exciting fish to catch. Smallmouth bass are some of the strongest freshwater fish by weight, which makes for a lot of fun fishing!
WALLEYE
The walleye is the most sought-after fish in Minnesota. Its thick, white fillets, handsome shape and coloring, and elusive nature make it the ultimate prize among anglers.
PIKE
This voracious predator is common throughout Minnesota and one of the easiest fish to catch because its willingness to bite lures or bait.
